Ready to help your community and earn one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting? Cadettes can team up with a small group of fellow Girl Scouts or work on their own. To earn the Silver Award, you will research an issue you care about, make a plan to address it, and then take action to improve your community.
You can become a Silver Award Girl Scout if you:
Are in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade
Are a registered Girl Scout Cadette
Have completed a Cadette Journey

Silver Award Resources
To purchase Silver Award pins, first submit the Final Report form, and then show the email confirmation of submission to the Girl Scout Shop.

This year, there is a new Cadette Workbook and Adult Guide, a new proposal* and final report form (both to be approved by the Troop leader or Juliette mentor), Volunteer Toolkit meetings, and more!

*Please note that Girl Scout Cadettes already in progress on their Silver Awards before 9/30/23 will not need to submit a proposal to their adult mentor.
