The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course, which
certifies participants to lead archery programs for three years,
provides graduates with the necessary tools to maintain a high level
of safety both on and off the archery range for camps and beginner
archery programs. Participants will learn about range safety, range
setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs, and
lesson plans, and will be well prepared to teach beginner archery
programs to people of all ages and abilities in various
disciplines. Registrants will pay an additional $40 directly to USA Archery.
2025 Mountaindale Training Palooza
- This training is a part of the 2025 Mountaindale Training
Palooza.
- Get the skills you need to lead them on their next
adventure. Training Paloozas are designed to provide a variety of
adult training opportunities as part of a full and fulfilling
weekend at a GSOSW property. There's something for everyone, from
Supporting Neurodiverse Girl Scouts training to archery
certification and our STEM Leader Workshop. Connect with other
volunteers and learn something new!

participants on Friday and Saturday evenings. Please RSVP for Friday night
accommodations.
Price
$5/person. Registrants will pay an additional $40 directly to USA
Archery. This training has been generously subsidized by the Theda
Family Endowment.
Participant Information

This is a blended learning class with an online portion and
an in-person portion. Participants must successfully pass the USA
Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification online course (it will
take about 4 hours to complete the online portion) before
completing the practical course to officially receive a USA
Archery Level 1 Instructor certificate of
completion.
- The in-person portion of the training
will take place in person from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday,
September 20, 2025. This training will take place at Camp
Mountaindale in North Plains, OR.

few days before the training. Please check your spam
folder.
- GSOSW volunteer trainings are adult, member-only,
and council-only, events. Children of attendees may not accompany
adults to this training, please ensure alternate arrangements have
been made.
