Reading Adventure Backpacks
Iris | Junction City, Oregon
To expose young children and early readers to the joy of reading, Iris worked with her local library to create themed backpacks with books and fun activities that children or their parents could check out. She and her team gave presentations at local schools to publicize the backpacks. Iris' Girl Scout troop and a library friends group have committed to sustaining the backpack program.
