To address the problem of opioid addiction and overdose deaths in her community, Katherine worked with her local Department of Health to lead training sessions on use of the life-saving drug naloxone for over 250 staff and students at seven high schools. To sustain the effort, Katherine created and publicized a website with information on opioid addiction and how to schedule additional trainings.
